This role allows the successful candidate to:
Innovate in Retail, which is an essential industry, and must continue running during the COVID-19 pandemic. Imagine, Define, and Deliver innovative products and capabilities that will be used by the candidate, and the candidates family & friends, in everyday interactions with your favorite grocery, drug, convenience & fuel, and department/specialty retail outlets. Operate in an Agile environment based on Design Thinking, which focuses on progress vs. perfection, and iteration vs analysis paralysis Nurture the product management pipeline at NCR by mentoring and coaching more junior product managers
Position Summary & Key Areas of Responsibility
Accountable for the following:
Formulating product strategy for sustainable differentiation Identifying and validating market opportunities for growth Identifying and articulating market requirements that define the products features set, in line with product strategy. Collaboration with Engineering & Design to balance innovative vision with practicality Building and maintaining prioritized product backlog fed by:
o Product strategy
o Customer feedback & interviews
o User research (in partnership with User Experience Design)
o Competitive analysis
Recruiting customers to act as advisor users to co-create innovative products Educating sales team on messaging that works Roadmap & Release management Writing product requirements documents Performing market research Meeting customers for needs analysis
Required Qualifications & Attributes:
* 7+ years proven experience in a Product Manager or similar role
* BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
* Experience in technical / software field
* A great attitude; people like working with you
* Curiosity & thirst for learning, and ability to do it quickly
* Outside-in, data-backed orientation
* Strong interpersonal skills & ability to build strong, trusting relationships
* Ability to simplify the complex
* Prioritization across tactical/strategic, customer/market
* Excellent communication skills

* Familiarity with Agile framework
