Position Specific Description

The NextEra Energy Resources (NEER) Mobility team contains technologists, data scientists, business development and project execution staff collectively offering customers end-to-end solutions for electric mobility. The group is actively developing a joint venture with the leading school bus fleet manager and has numerous initiatives in support of public and private fleets. The Mobility Analyst would analyze electric tariffs to understand energy costs risks for different operational patterns. They would research EV policy and determine the best markets to target based on grant funding or incentives. They would do ad hoc analysis for strategic initiatives as identified by team leadership.

Responsibilities

* Analysis of electric costs for EV fleets
* Forecasting electric rates based on history and internal market views
* Grant prioritization
* Incentive modeling
* Competitor research
* Research Vehicle to Grid Revenues and communicate how these will interact with vehicle operations
* Work with origination on specific deal opportunities
* Interface with retail and wholesale teams to support integrated offers
* Maintain Mobility team performance metrics and reporting to management
* Support annual strategic planning process
* Ad Hoc market research and analysis for management

Qualifications & Characteristics

* Bachelors degree in business, engineering, or related field
* Advanced Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
* Ability to independently develop forecast methods and generate new models to improve efficiency
* Ability to quickly synthesize key information and effectively communicate it to team members
* Ability to prioritize multiple workflows
* Experience in energy markets is a plus
* Experience with solar or storage is a plus
* Critical thinker willing to respectfully challenge others thinking
* Curious, entrepreneur driven to constantly uncover value for customers and the organization
