Northrop Grumman Space Systems sector, located in Redondo Beach, California, is seeking an Laser Electronics Technician 4 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The qualified applicant will become part of a team that produces advanced hardware.

The Laser Electronics Technician 4 position performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive operations on electronics assemblies and subassemblies.

Roles amp; Responsibilities:
- Assisting engineers and other technicians in the development of electronics and electromechanical engineering designs, tests, fabrications, modifications, assemblies and components.
- Working from verbal or written instructions that provide methods and sequence of assembly operations. Using assembly drawings and diagrams.
- Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive operations on electronics assemblies and subassemblies.
- Perform a variety of tasks using tools such as multimeters, soldering irons, crimping tools, power supplies, wire strippers, microscopes, oscilloscopes and other common electronics tools.

Candidate must be comfortable in a lab environment and be able to collaborate closely with system engineers, hardware designers, and integration/test engineers.

Qualification

Basic Qualifications:
- High School diploma and 6 years of additional education or related technician experience
- Experience with electronics assembly tasks such as cable and harness builds
- Must have experience reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics
- Experience working with common electronics assembly tools such as multimeters, soldering irons, crimping tools, power supplies, wire strippers, microscopes, and oscilloscopes

Preferred Qualifications:
- An Associate 39;s Degree in a technical discipline or other 2 year technical training
- Experience working on more complex electronic assemblies such as printed wiring board-level assembly, surface mount assembly, and power supply setup
- Active DoD Secret or Top Secret security clearance
