Northrop Grumman Defense Systems sector is currently seeking a Staff Agile Coach to join our growing team of diverse professionals in our Operational Excellence and Quality organization. The preferred location for this position is on-site at our sector headquarters in McLean, Virginia, though full-time teleworking may also be supported.

The Operational Excellence and Quality team is comprised of systems thinkers and guardians for our company, customers, and stakeholders. We are a multi-faceted organization responsible for areas aligned to Strategic Resource Planning, Program Excellence, Engineering, Technology, Global Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Quality and Mission Assurance

Through the role of an Agile Program Coach, the selected candidate will lead programs and organizations/functions in their adoption of Agile practices and work with programs to gather requirements and best practices to help establish organizational and program-level Lean Agile engineering and management principles. Understanding the Northrop Grumman Lean-Agile Framework is essential, along with the responsibility to help grow and mature this Northrop Grumman-branded capability. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and continuously improving standard agile methodologies, policies, and procedures for an Agile, iterative solution lifecycle, from an executable architecture, concept development, iterative design, production, delivery, deployment, and sustainment.

Responsibilities:

* Collaborates with the Lean-Agile Center of Excellence (LACE) to define objectives, strategies, and governance for company software, hardware, and digital technology development
* Serves as a supporting member of the Agile Community of Practice, providing input into plans and providing status on coaching and training as requested
* Provides open enrollment training and backfills other coaching engagements on an as-needed basis
* Engages with the other Lean-Agile coaches to continue to strengthen their skills and experiences.
* Leads the efforts of developing Lean-Agile engineering and management best practices, metrics, governance, and organizational change management practices
* Coaches teams and programs in Lean-Agile principles and practices
* Enables delivery at scale using techniques such as program increment planning, Dev*Ops, portfolio management, agile product delivery, and business agility
* Leads Lean-Agile organizational transformation across the organization to build a modern delivery capability, including setting a vision, aligning necessary resources, and communicating to executive levels on status/milestones
* Conducts Lean-Agile team training and education, product backlog and retrospective workshops, and Lean-Agile development workshops
* Analyzes and articulates complex subject matter via white papers and presentations, enabling the ease of comprehension by customers and all stakeholders

Qualification

Basic Qualifications:

* Must have one of the following:
* High school diploma or GED with a minimum of 19 years of broad technical experience with concentration in the design, development, integration, implementation, and/or operations of complex, large-scale information systems and technologies
* Bachelor 39;s degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) discipline with a minimum of 14 years of broad technical experience with concentration in the design, development, integration, implementation, and operations of complex large-scale information systems and technologies
* Master rsquo;s degree in a STEM discipline with a minimum of 12 years of broad technical experience with concentration in the design, development, integration, implementation, and operations of complex large-scale information systems and technologies
* PhD in a STEM discipline with a minimum of 9 years of broad technical experience with concentration in the design, development, integration, implementation, and operations of complex large-scale information systems and technologies
* Must have a minimum of 5 years of Agile experience supporting diverse teams
* Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Program Consultant (SPC)
* Must have an active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance
* Must be able to travel as needed (up to 25% of the time)

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience working with Scrum, Kanban, Feature Driven Development, Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration amp; Delivery, Dev*Ops, Scaled Agile (SAFe) and XP
* Ability to influence change across both team and leadership levels by through relationship building and collaboration
* Strong written, verbal communication and organizational skills and ability to prioritize work to ensure milestones are met
* Ability to work effectively in cross functional (operations, management, and financial) teams
* Direct experience with transitioning teams to Lean-Agile practices, including both individual teams and multi-team projects
* Demonstrated knowledge of Lean-Agile Framework
* A minimum of 7 years of Agile experience supporting teams
* Active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance
* Experience Working with Executive Leadership

Salary Minimum: $141,440

Salary Maximum: $212,160

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
