Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Principal/Sr. Principal Systems Engineer to join the team. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Learn more about the GBSD program here. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force rsquo;s sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure.
What you will get to do:
Air Vehicle (AVE) Subsystem Interface Specification amp; Architecture RA: Reporting to the AVE Interfaces Lead, is responsible for systems engineering artifact development for one of the several stage elements (i.e. Booster, Guidance and Navigation or Re-entry Sections) in the AVE.
To support this, selected candidate will lead the development of key interface artifacts. These artifacts include, but are not limited to, Interface Control Documents (ICDs), Interface Description Documents (IDDs), Interface Requirements Specifications (IRSs), and interface risk assessment/analysis. In addition, the System Engineer will ensure proper implementation of the program 39;s interface management plan on AVE for the specified interfaces the lead has stewardship over. This role also includes coordination with key stakeholders to ensure proper verification and validation of the interface requirements. Finally, this person is responsible for ensuring proper integration of interface requirement representation in other key model-based artifacts (e.g. DOORs, Cameo).

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

You rsquo;ll bring these qualifications:
* Bachelor rsquo;s Degree or higher in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics discipline from an accredited university
* A minimum 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor 39;s degree; 3 years with a Master 39;s Degree; 0 years with a PhD (Sr. Principal level requires 9 years with a BS; 7 years with an MS; or 4 years with a PhD)
* Experience in DOORS or similar requirement tracking tool
* Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
* U.S. Citizenship and an Active DoD Secret clearance granted/investigated in the last 6 years
These qualifications would be nice to have:
* Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) concepts and tools (CAMEO/DOORS)
* Missile design and development experience
* Demonstrated proficiency in analytical thinking and problem solving skills and Systems Thinking mindset
* Excellent decision making and communication (written and oral) skills
