Northrop Grumman rsquo;s Strategic Space System rsquo;s Division (SSSD) is seeking a Senior Principal Proposal Analyst to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in defining the future at the Redondo Beach, CA location. The Senior Principal Proposal Analyst will report to the Price Cost Estimating Manager. The candidate for this role will be persistent, tenacious, analytical and able to meet deadlines in a challenging, multi-tasking environment.
This position requires a Department of Defense (DoD) Top Secret (TS) clearance to include a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI). Also required is the ability to obtain Specialized Compartmented Information (SCI) Access.
Responsibilities include:
* Partner with innovators to secure mission critical technology for military and defense
* Lead and develop small to large new business cost proposals, including coordination, collection and analysis of cost, schedule, and technical elements from multi-functional departments
* Publish cost proposals in accordance with request for proposal (RFP) specifications and other pricing/cost requirements
* Design and develop Cost Engineering Models and Cost Estimating Relationships (CERs) for proposals, company investment, and design to cost tasks
* Create and present cost issues and risks to senior and executive leadership
* Participate in customer fact-finding meetings.
* Develop recommendations for should-cost and pricing reviews with management and customer representatives
* Lead and support DCAA audit reviews for proposals
* Promote affordability and quality initiatives
* Represent the pricing organization in contract negotiations, drive improvements to the negotiation process, and advise leadership on our cost and risk position
* Strategic focus oriented, including ability to evaluate, integrate, and communicate cost issues and risks to senior and executive management
* Must have persistence and tenacity to meet deadlines in a challenging, multi-tasking environment
* Excellent communications skills and leadership competencies
Qualification
Basic Qualifications:
* 9 years of work experience in any of the following: Pricing or Cost Estimating, Proposal Development, Project Management, Accounting/Budgeting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration, or Master rsquo;s Degree with 7 years of stated experience
* Proficiency with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel, PP and Word
* Must have current DoD TS and/or SCI clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
* Master rsquo;s Degree
* Experience working for a cleared client
* Military Leadership
* In-depth knowledge of FAR/DFARS/CAS and other government regulations
* Experience in applying cost accounting, pricing, and estimating concepts and principles
* Ability to perform risk analysis, including Monte Carlo simulations (S-Curve) on cost proposals
