NGMS is seeking a Principal Scrum Master to join the its dynamic team of technical professionals in the Software amp; DigitalTechnologies Organization. Roles and Responsibilities include:

* Support and enforce the Agile methodology and SAFe framework used by the project team
* Fulfill the role of the Scrum Master, leading Agile development teams in the delivery of business critical, enterprise software development projects to our production systems
* Identify and remove impediments
* Organize and facilitate project planning, daily stand up meetings, reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos and other meetings
* Track and communicate Agile metrics which may include team velocity and sprint/Program Increment (PI) progress within the Scaled Agile (SAFe) framework
* Ensure the Scrum Framework is implemented effectively and provides coaching and training at the team level to maximize its benefits
* Support the Product Owner
* Assist with product backlog maintenance
* Assist with internal and external communication to improve transparency
* Be a Servant Leader for the Agile Development (Scrum) Team
* Assist with making appropriate commitments to deliver business value through story selection, definition of tasks and estimation
* Facilitate team discussion and conflict resolution
* Help the team to learn from experience
* Empower the team to self-organize
* Provide support with risk management, release management, and facilitate release planning activities
* Works with the Agile teams and Solution Architecture Team to determine the best approach ensure the overall software architecture supports the project Concept of Operations
* Supports all Agile teams to ensure effective end-to-end capability threads are being implemented
* Participate proactively in developing and maintaining standards, tools and best practices
* Adopt a positive attitude about Agile processes, ensure tasks are flowing from one phase to the next, facilitate the basics of the process (i.e. transparency, project information is current, impediments are being eliminated)
* Analyze and articulate complex subject matter via white papers and presentations, enabling the ease of comprehension by customers and all stakeholders.
* Maintain an in-depth knowledge of customer rsquo;s lifecycles, standards, and supporting processes and practices

This position is located in Linthicum, MD.
Qualification

Basic Qualifications:

Candidates must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:

* A Bachelor 39;s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or another STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) field
* A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience (3 with a MS degree; 0 with PhD)
* A minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Scrum Master on a Scrum team
* Experience in Software Development, Integration, or other IT related projects
* Candidates must be a US Citizen with an ACTIVE DoD Security Clearance at the Secret Level or higher

Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with these skills will be given preferential consideration.

* 2 years of experience working as a Scrum Master on a Scrum team
* 1 year of experience teaching others how to become Agile
* Scrum Master Certification: Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) or SAFe
* Experience using tools that support agile development, such as DevOps, JIRA and Confluence
* Experience with traditional project management skills: managing budget, scheduling, estimating, etc hellip;
* Agile development experience implementing systems
* Experience with multiple Agile teams in different organizations
