Internship Role Overview
Program objectives provide the intern with hands-on experiences through teamwork and collaboration, as well as individual work assignments. Interns participate in a wide range of learning and development activities including job shadows, attending various speaking engagements and events designed to expose interns to other areas of the firm. Interns also have an opportunity to network with senior leaders across the firm, attend various social and work-sponsored events and are encouraged to engage in team volunteer opportunities within the community.
What's the role?
A Business Analytics Intern will be assigned to one department. The specific responsibilities within each department will vary but basic responsibilities for all interns may include:
* Writing queries to collect data and perform analysis
* Utilizing data visualization tools, such as PowerBI, to assist in analysis
* Participation in team reviews of analysis to provide additional insights and perspectives on analysis
* Fulfillment of various routine and ad-hoc reporting requests as needed
* Developing statistical models to predict productivity and behaviors
* Various small projects and process assistance as needed
The function of the department is as follows:
Field Experience Alignment: Provide relevant, timely, and quality information that is used to inform business decisions and that creates a consistent understanding and interpretation of distribution performance. Offer research, analysis, design and measurement of strategic initiatives working closely with business partners to drive aligned execution.

* Required Qualifications
* Minimum 3.0 GPA and be in good academic standing
* Strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills.
* Excellent communication skills, the ability to multitask, prioritize work, take initiative, and be self-sufficient with responsibilities.
* Ability to work well with others as a team and independently.
* Aware of reporting, analytical and query tools such as SQL, SAS, PowerBI, MSBI, R, Python, SSRS, Tableau.
* Preferred Qualifications
* Pursuing a degree in Statistics, Business Analytics, Math, Economics, Computer Science, MIS, Quantitative Social Science, or related Quantitative field.
* Desire for learning new technologies and analytic tools; as well as modeling and quantitative techniques.
* Familiarity with reporting, analytical and query tools such as SQL, SAS, PowerBI, MSBI, R, Python, SSRS, Tableau.
Hours:
* Full-time (40 hours per week) during the summer with opportunity for Part-time (20-25 hours per week) during school year based on performance, need and ability of the student
