The Oracle Application Express (APEX) development team is looking for highly motivated, experienced and self-directed front end JavaScript developers to work on enhancements and new capabilities for the core APEX product. Oracle APEX is the market-leading enterprise low-code development platform which enables customers to design, develop and deploy beautiful, responsive, data-driven desktop and mobile applications using only a browser. The ideal candidate for this position will have mastery of JavaScript, HTML, CSS and SQL, and has a thorough understanding of modern web development principles and REST-based Web services. Experience with jQuery, Oracle Database & PL/SQL, and APEX is a plus.
Required skills:
- 4+ years of experience in software engineering.
- Strong knowledge and professional experience developing web applications.
- Experience with JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and Responsive Design.
- Experience building high quality, usable, accessible, responsive UI controls (widgets).
- SQL fundamentals.
- Strong knowledge of RESTful Web Services.
- Experience in unit testing, debugging, code organization.
- Good Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to deliver effectively as part of a remote team as well as independently.
Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.
As a member of the software engineering division, you will apply basic to intermediate knowledge of software architecture to perform software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture.
Duties and tasks are standard with some variation; displays understanding of roles, processes and procedures. Performs moderately complex problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and processes. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 1 year of software engineering or related experience.
