To be based at our expanding site located at Middletown in New York, we are sourcing for an EHS Administrator to be responsible for providing key technical insight and support regarding Environmental, Health and Safety matters to the Middletown leadership team. Also, you will actively assist the site in maintaining compliance with global, country, corporate and state standards, and will perform as site administrator of the corporate EHS system.
Reporting directly to the EHS Manager, this position would ideally suit an individual willing to develop a career within our ever-growing business.
Key accountabilities of the role will include:
* Assist the site in maintaining compliance with all aspects of the PepsiCo Environment, Health and Safety policies, processes and systems.
* Assist the site in upholding compliance with ISO, and OHSAS standards.
* Provide support in HAZOPs, Risk Assessments, Incident Investigation and the appropriate Corrective Actions.
* Support the implementation of site EHS compliance and risk mitigation programs to meet regulatory and corporate requirements.
* Support and deliver site awareness and training programs on Environmental, Health and Safety requirements and responsibilities. Provide assistance with projects and other initiatives in support of the site achieving EHS KPIs.
* Support the Resource Conservation agenda for the site to achieve PepsiCo objectives.
* Act as site administrator and subject matter expert for the corporate EHS system.
* Develop effective reporting and analysis tools for Environmental, Health and Safety key performance indicators.
* Provide administrative support to the site EHS Committee.
* Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications/Requirements
* Qualifications in Science, Engineering, Environmental or Health and Safety disciplines.
* An understanding of Risk Management, certified management systems and auditing programs.
* Sound Microsoft Office skills, and the ability to learn and adapt to several information technologies systems.
* The ability to co-ordinate and manipulate large amounts of data from varying sources into succinct and well-structured reports.
* Ability to interact and build strong working relationships with a range of stakeholders, at all levels of the business.
* Effective time management, attention to detail, and competing priorities management skills.
* A willingness to be self-motivated and hands-on while working un-supervised.
* A flexible work schedule.
