ROLE SUMMARY
The Associate US Payroll, Finance and GL is responsible for general ledger design and support; financial reporting functions, monthly / quarterly close process, and GL project management associated with US Payroll Operations.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
* Manage ADP GL, including table updates, file transmission and new setups
* Manage and approve the general ledger account reconciliations completed by GFSS Lead and/or support any changes to the ADP Payroll to SAP GL extract file
* Ensure accurate monthly and annual GL posting
* Compile and distribute regular, monthly, and ad hoc reports; to include actual results for Finance leads and budget analysts of the company
* Partner with business clients, technical teams and key stakeholders to manage and prepare required reports and documents and participate on departmental and/or cross functional teams addressing internal and external reporting issues
* Manage and maintain ADP GL process including maintaining configuration, processing, reconciling, troubleshooting and correcting errors
* Coordinate processes and information to ensure quality, accuracy and timeliness of the month end and quarter close processes and related reporting requirements
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources or related field required
* 3+ years experience in payroll, accounting or human resources
* Knowledge and experience of payroll calculation and processing
* Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Experience with Workday, ADP, or other common HCM, payroll and time/attendance systems preferred
* Certified Payroll Professional, or similar professional designation preferred
* Assist in analyzing and evaluating harmonization of policies and operations of additional acquired businesses or operational divestitures
* Lead/Assist with external and internal audits or from various government agencies.
* Document and maintain SOP policies and procedures
* Partner with Pfizer Treasury to assist with working capital projections and special projects related to banking
* Execute the escheatment process based on state regulations and coordinate with NASS to limit financial exposure
* Ensure external compliance reporting related to Bureau of Labor Statistics quarterly/monthly worksite reporting and NC-9901
* Assist with applying for tax credits related to payroll
