Department Overview

Land Rights Services is a part of the Land Management (LM) organization which is responsible for the oversight and management of PG&E land assets which include fee properties and various land entitlements. PG&E owns and manages nearly 200,000 acres of land spread across 48 California counties, from Shasta County on the north to Kern County on the south. The company is one of the largest private property owners in the state, and in addition manages thousands of acres of right-of-way easements for electric and gas facilities.

Position Summary

This job is represented by Engineers and Scientists of California (ESC) and is subject to collective bargaining.

Under the supervision of an exempt supervisor, you will be responsible for land-related matters. This group provides the following services to our clients:

The Land Rights Services team provides relocation support, encroachment abatement and determination of land rights for company facilities. We provide property management services to our business partners which includes leasing/licensing of company property. We provide support by identifying unauthorized uses of company lands and abating those uses. We also process permits and easements to formally allow others to use company property for specific purposes.

Job Responsibilities

- Responsible for land matters, researching PG&E's rights, including discussing them with private, public, or governmental bodies and agencies to obtain necessary rights-of-way, contracts, agreements or concurrence within established Company policies. This work may include such duties as coordinating relocation projects, review of encroachments, and gathering material and preparing reports/data for use in leasing and licensing.

- Responsible for handling requests for uses of PG&E facilities, easements, and fee property.

- Prepare documents necessary for the acquisition of easements by the Company and process necessary forms for the granting and procuring of permits, quitclaims, leases and consents.

Qualifications

Minimum

- Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of experience in land rights, contracts, California land regulations, or other related land/environmental policies OR a combination of education and work experience.

- Demonstrated experience and excellence in customer service and possess a customer centric vision.

- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite software.
