Description

The role of the Optimization Analyst is to is to identify and execute Supply Chain improvements in their assigned plants, products, or geographic regions that improve Lubricants EBITDA through COGS optimization and enablement of sales opportunities while driving adherence to P66 standards for HSE, quality, and customer service levels. This includes the coordination of raw materials, management of finished inventory at supply locations, performing financial analysis to support optimization projects, and management of key performance indicators.

Responsibilities May Include

* Review, analyze, and re-optimize needs of assigned plants continuously (inventory management, freight management, product management, capacity, safety stock) to support Phillips 66 general interest. This includes working with the Plant Optimization Leads from assigned Phillips 66 plants.

* Collaborate with Sales and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) to determine long-term strategies to effectively posture for maximum general interest considerations.

* Collaborate with Customer Excellence and Plant Managers/Plant Optimization Leads to troubleshoot quickly and efficiently.

* Manage, analyze, communicate and action Supply Chain KPIs associated with assigned plants

* Manage disruptions that prevent perfect orders, determine root cause, and aggressively implement corrective actions and proactive plans to prevent supply disruptions.

* Assist as needed in development, documentation and continuous improvement of Supply Chain processes.

* Act as subject matter expert in oVo (ongoing value optimization) modeling with ability to effectively teach core concepts and lead the Global PAT.

* Audit the implementation of the oVo (ongoing value optimization) methodology across assigned plants.

* Lead projects. Appropriately scope, create project plan, set up and track project KPIs, provide direction for team.

* Performing financial analysis on supply optimization projects.

* Manage P66 Lubes' interest in 3rd party facilities. Perform scheduling of material placement with 3rd party contract suppliers for product blending, packaging, warehousing and shipping. Cultivate relationships with 3rd party suppliers and internal workgroups. Work with Procurement to address any long-term or contractual operational constraints.

* Manage SAP processing to complete the order-to-shipment and procure to pay cycle for third party plants.

* Resolve quantity and price variances per Accounts Payable procedures.

* Perform annual physical audits of P66 consigned inventory at 3rd party sites. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and coordinate billing to 3rd party for losses over allowable amount.

* Perform quarterly book-to-book reconciliations between P66 SAP inventory balances and 3rd party sites. Verify for accuracy in accordance with documented guidelines.

* Resolve 3rd party supply and distribution issues and handle CRRS incidents (Perfect Order & customer complaints) for assigned 3rd party sites.

* Thorough exception monitoring daily. Analyze exception drivers and resolve. Find the trends and continuously reoptimize SAP settings to support Supply Chain KPIs.

* Manage GR / IR balance and reconciliation for assigned 3rd party plants.

Position Requirements

Basic/Required:

* Legally authorized to work in the job posting country

* Bachelors Degree

* 2 or more years of Supply Chain experience

Preferred:

* Bachelors Degree or higher in Engineering or Supply Chain

* 1 of more years of experience serving others (external customers or internal partners) in an effective and professional fashion with a willingness and can-do attitude

* 1 or more roles or projects which focused on large amounts of detail that was critical to solving issues

* Working knowledge of Linear Program modeling tools

* Working knowledge of inventory management and scheduling principles

* Working knowledge of accounting principles and procedures

* Intermediate level of proficiency in SAP MM, SD, FI & PP module

* Working knowledge of rail and truck transportation

* Working knowledge of Lubricants manufacturing and product lines

* Working knowledge of warehouse management and layout design

* Working knowledge of creating graphs, maintaining data in Tableau

* Project Management/Change Management skills

* Financial acumen

* Strong analytical, influence management, team building, planning and organizing and communications skills

* Flexible, solution-oriented, encourages creativity, innovation and a continuous improvement mind-set

* Ability to prioritize work without close supervision

In addition, this segment generates electricity and provides merchant power into the Texas market. Phillips 66 was founded in 1875 and is headquartered in Houston, Texas.
