This position is responsible for the operation of an industrial forklift in order to move raw materials and finished goods throughout the warehouse and production areas. Along with other team members, this employee has the general responsibility of contributing to site and company goals.

Major tasks include:

Must be able to pass forklift certification test and maintain forklift license. Operate forklift as assigned. Must have basic computer knowledge, math skills and gain competency in use of lift computer.

Responsible for maintenance of assigned forklift (i.e., recharge batteries, changes propane gas tanks and fill battery cells) and completing daily forklift inspection.

Electronically record material moves to warehouse locations, printing of stickers and electronically record Purchase Order receipts using the correct systems.

Load and unload raw materials to and from designated areas.

Read work orders and production schedule. Stock the production line with components as needed throughout the shift. Report raw material shortage to proper lead person or supervisor.

Ensure HKE standards are maintained by keeping work area clean and conducting a final cleaning near the end of each shift. Other housekeeping duties as assigned.

Ensure production documentation and/or paperwork is recorded and completed accurately.

Must be able to do all material handling jobs on assigned shift per the standard operating procedures.

Ensure all safety and company rules are being followed; including, but not limited to; wearing appropriate personal protective equipment, LockOut/TagOut Policy, Cardinal Rules, smoking policy, lifting procedure, machine guarding, etc.

Practice safety and security rules/regulations to avoid equipment and dock hazards as defined in operating instructions.

Understand and participate in achieving site and shift goals. Participate in activities outside functional job responsibilities (site projects, committees, etc.). May serve as Spill Responder or Emergency Responder.

Physical Requirements:

Able to pull, carry or lift up to 50 pounds frequently and 50-100 occasionally with or without reasonable accommodation.

Basic Qualifications:

* Must be able to read, write, comprehend and communicate in English
* Must have the legal right to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship now or in the future for employment visa status
* Must be at least 18 years of age
* Must have access to reliable transportation
* Must be able to work overtime with or without reasonable accommodation

The successful candidate must also pass a pre-employment background check, physical and drug screen.

Preferred Qualifications:

* One year of experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
* Experience monitoring quality of raw materials or finished goods Previous labor experience in lifting and moving heavy objects and operating warehouse material handling equipment
