How will you make an impact?
The Senior Service Product Manager is a high-output strategic marketing role, responsible for working with service and product divisions to create and manage market/customer-focused service product portfolios, innovation, and pricing strategies to drive preference and demand in support of Thermo Fisher Scientific services. Reporting to the Director of Services Product Management, this position is responsible for developing and executing an innovative services portfolio for scientific instrumentation. This position is ideal for a candidate with both a strong marketing and product management background who has successfully developed and executed targeted products/services for business-to-business technology markets and customers with complex buying cycles
What will you do?
* Drive the ideation, development, launch and scaling of innovative new service offerings through the service development innovation process (Stage Gate); working closely with the company2019s service organization and executives to ensure appropriate alignment of marketing, service sales and delivery efforts
* Collaborate with the Product Business Unit Leaders, Sales VPs, IES global Service team and Field Service Directors and Managers, to drive double digit services revenue growth and maximize installed base service revenue potential, while elevating customer satisfaction
* Define service product roadmaps that ensure service is a competitive advantage in the overall Company value proposition by transforming services from 201Cpoint201D offerings to integrated solutions and workflows; and by moving to outcome-based services
* Develop and execute service product management plans for new and existing portfolios including voice of customer, market opportunity identification, service product definition, pricing, positioning and value propositions
* Drive point of sale attach rates for warranty extensions and uplifts
* Develop framework for analyzing customer requirements, industry trends, market segmentation, competitive landscape in order to prepare business case for investment in new service initiatives
* Contribute to a competitive intelligence system that tracks key competitors and industry players to identify their strengths, weaknesses, strategies, plans and performance
How will you get here?
Education
* Bachelors Degree in a relevant technical, life sciences, pharmaceutical, or Marketing discipline required.
* Advanced Degree in relevant field or MBA preferred.
Experience
* 6 + years of marketing/product management experience (product, service or project management) in B2B technology marketing role required.
* Prior experience with organizations providing technical solutions preferred.
* Experience developing global service products preferred.
* Experience managing global programs that serve targeted markets in North America, Europe and Asia preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
* Ability to work remotely to effectively drive complex projects to completion
* Proven ability to translate divisional business and Field Service strategy into innovative services and plans that deliver quantitative results and business value
* Demonstrated ability to work cross functionally and build strong alliances at all levels, including close work with technical, sales, product marketing, and executive positions
* Demonstrated leadership without authority in a dynamic environment with areas of ambiguity
* Strong leadership skills characterized by the ability to inspire, communicate effectively, and drive the organization towards common goals with high performing management teams.
* Ability to motivate those around him/her to persevere through tough situations and ultimately meet agreed-upon goals

* Up to 25% travel required both domestic and international
