The Tyson Foods Networking team is responsible for implementing and maintaining connectivity to remote plants, hatcheries and feed mills supporting critical business functions. In this role you will utilize your expertise to design, build, and maintain a complex LAN and WAN infrastructure supporting the growth of digital transformation. You will also influence and contribute to strategic planning efforts as we continuously improve the delivery of networking services supporting our rapidly growing business.
Responsibilities
Translate business requirements into network designs and solutions
Collaborating with a group of network engineers delivering new solutions to support enterprise networking
Partner with equipment manufactures and internal customers to test and certify IoT solutions
Contribute to the research and design of future generation network roadmaps
Provide Tier 3 network engineering escalation support for system rollouts
Design and deliver network lab infrastructure to support new and existing initiatives
Translate technical knowledge into support procedures
Work alongside infrastructure software engineers to automate manual activities
Collaborate with network hardware and services providers
Create and maintain network documentation and reports
Communicate with internal customers and present solutions in a non-technical manner
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of 4 to 6 years LAN/WAN experience
Relevant experience with network switching, and routing
Experience in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting wireless networking
Experience with implementing infrastructure using cloud-based SaaS solutions
Working knowledge of APIs in the networking environment
Foundational network applications and concepts DNS, OSI Model, Encryption/PKI, QoS, IPSec, IP Protocol Suite (v4 and v6) HTTP(s), SNMP, SYSLOG, HTTP, TLS.
Configuring/Troubleshooting Network Security - IPSec VPN
Linux operating system experience
Preferred Qualifications
Python or other scripting experience
Remote office network design and support
Vendor specific knowledge relating to Cisco, Silver Peak & Extreme Networks
SD-WAN and Network virtualization
AWS Cloud technologies
Bachelors degree in associated technical field
Minimum Years of Experience: 4-6 years
