This is an exciting role in the UnitedHealthcare Regulatory Financial Operations Data Management team. Focusing on regulatory data management, this role will primarily be responsible for managing, designing, building, implementing, and administering regulatory data functions and improving existing processes. Key activities include supervising, managing and setting team direction, resolving problems, process improvement, project leadership, and stakeholder training.
The role will work with internal and external customers and entities to understand current data reporting, identify gaps, and drive innovative solutions that meet financial and healthcare regulatory reporting requirements.

Primary Responsibilities:
* As part of the Data Management Team collaborates with team members to resolve problems and provides guidance to members on the team
* Influence and provide input into forecasting and planning activities for upcoming projects
* Oversee work activities of data engineers, including assignment of projects, resource management and prioritization
* Adapt departmental plans and priorities to address business and operational challenges
* Partner with other business teams to implement solutions effectively, from pilot phase to full implementation, and adjust solutions as needed based on dynamic nature including the technical environment, regulatory requirements, and industry standards
* Work concurrently on several projects, each with specific requirements that may differ from project to project
* Educate and train stakeholders on new or improved processes
* Serve as a leader / mentor in support of newly designed or improved operational functions
* Develop reports on analysis, provide recommendations and make presentations to communicate results to various management levels

Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in IT, Business, Finance, Health Administration, or related field or equivalent experience
* 5+ years of data reporting/analysis experience
* 3 years of experience managing, supervising or coaching developers and data engineers
* 3+ years of experience gathering and writing requirements
* Demonstrated experience with process improvement, workflow, benchmarking, and / or evaluation of business processes
* Experience working in a matrixed environment on fast-paced projects

Preferred Qualifications:
* Proficiency with MicroStrategy in the creation of reports, dossiers and visualizations
* Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access)
* Proficiency with MS Visio
* Healthcare Industry experience
* Experience in analysis of business processes and workflows
* SQL, SAS, SAS Base, SAS Macro experience
* Experience with Data Warehouses and / or Data Marts
* Team player and high performer that excels in a team environment
* Excellent written / oral communication skills
* Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
