Benchmark Behavioral Health Systems is seeking a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist - TRS to join our team!
Our therapeutic recreation staff use individual and group therapy, play, recreation and other activity based interventions to maximize our resident's functioning and promote quality of life. This job required a Therapeutic Recreation License.
* If you have a strong interest in providing quality therapeutic recreation to energetic adolescent boys. We are seeking a creative, energetic and fun individual who enjoys the physical demands of therapeutic recreation, outings and outdoor activities such as ROPES course events, etc.
* You will be given the autonomy to develop and create a wide range of modalities and facilitation techniques
* You will be working with an awesome team of multi disciplinary professionals that you can rely on to assist you in coordinating a solid foundation of quality care and mental health treatment.

Qualifications
Applicants must have a TRS certification through the state of Utah Dept. of Licensure
* Prefer 2 years of experience working with adolescents who have behavioral and/or mental health issues.
* Thorough understanding of therapeutic activities for varying developmental ranges and be capable of working independently.
* Experience with organizing indoor/outdoor and on/off campus activities
* Demonstrate creativity, enthusiasm and capable of engaging with residents in a positive way
* You must have a strong work ethic, responsible attendance and punctuality, and be capable of passing our background check and pre-hire drug screen process
