Responsibilities

12 hr. Day Shift, 36 hrs. /week, 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. every other weekend.

Havenwyck Hospital is a Joint Commission-accredited and licensed psychiatric hospital, overlooking Lake Galloway in Auburn Hills, Michigan. We specialize in providing comprehensive, compassionate behavioral health services to children, adolescents and adults.

Havenwyck Hospital is seeking a dynamic and talented Dietary Aide (Kitchen/Cafeteria Aide) to join our team of compassionate, dedicated professionals.

The Dietary Aide (Kitchen/Cafeteria Aide) is responsible for patient, visitor, and employee food service and department sanitation. The Dietary Aide (Kitchen/Cafeteria Aide) performs a variety of routine duties to serve the patients, visitors, and employee's meals and to clean and sanitize work areas, dishes, equipment, utensils, and pots and pans.

Duties include but are not limited to:

* Arranges, delivers and picks up food, dishes, and supplies from the serving areas.
* Serves patients, visitors and staff meals and replenishes food and supplies as needed.
* Cleans and sanitizes the dining room and work areas following department procedures.
* Cleans, sanitizes, replenishes and stores salad bar and food for meal service.
* Operates dish machine and maintains cleanliness in the dish room.
* Maintains and records temperatures of food during serving times.
* Maintains and records temperatures of all refrigerators, freezers and warmers daily.
* Preps food for cooking and serving.
* Sweeps and mops all floors, cleans sinks, and the restroom.
* Puts away stock in the proper storage areas using FIFO method.

Qualifications

* High School Diploma or GED required.
* Six months of work experience in food service preferred.
* Provision of satisfactory motor vehicle operation report required.
* Employees must be in good standing (employment/corrective action history, performance evaluations, etc.) to be considered for an internal transfer.
