Responsibilities
POSITION SUMMARY
The Nursing Coordinator (House Supervisor), under the supervision of the Department Director, supports the clinical activities and special projects of the department; and in collaboration with the Charge Nurse coordinates the off-hour operations of nursing. Supports an organizational culture for Service Excellence and practices the Service Excellence Standards to all customer groups.
PROVISION OF SERVICES
Participates in and facilitates a process to provide clinical or support services in the provision of patient care. Utilizes collaborative leadership skills in coordinating, delegating, and evaluating nursing activities in the off-hour shifts. Promotes compliance with safety and injury prevention standards to minimize risk to self, co-workers, patients, and visitors.

Physical and Sensory Requirements:
1. Ability to read and write in English.
2. Ability to communicate with patients, families, staff, physicians, support agencies, vendors and others.
3. Ability to cope with and remain calm under stress.
4. Ability to respond to pages, telephones, and other auditory stimulation.
5. Ability to evaluate and interpret information and make independent decisions.
6. Bending, lifting (25 lbs minimum), grasping, fine hand/eye coordination, pushing and pulling, prolonged standing or sitting.
7. Exposure to infectious organisms, agents and toxic chemicals.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE AND LICENSES/REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:
1. An RN currently licensed in the state of Texas
2. Must have current BLS certification upon hire and maintain certification throughout employment.
