Lets talk about the role!
As the Creative Director, you will set the creative vision for the Timberland brand and build a global creative studio that caters to the needs of an always-on digital marketing model. As a brand, we want to inspire our consumers and our communities with innovative content for digital, phygital, and metaverse touchpoints. Your mission is to lead and create a top-class creative team and to build out a vast network of external creative partners and agencies. You will be working with key marketing functions such as brand management, digital, and phygital retail marketing teams as well as regional and cross functional business teams.
You have experience in building and transforming brands, multimedia design, and creative direction. You understand how to translate authentic brands in the fields of sportswear, outdoor, and streetwear towards a Gen Z audience.
You'll be a trusted member of our team reporting to the Sr. Director Brand Communications and Creative. You will manage a team of writers, graphic designers, art directors, and store environment associates.
Your Key Responsibilities will be to:
* Partner with Sr. Director Brand Communications and Creative and provide direction and strategy during design development and execution of accepted new concepts. And provide design support to the business.
* Be the global guide to bring the new creative vision to live across all touchpoints, in particular digital, phygital, and metaverse. Be the owner of the Brand book and lead a consistent creative approach across the globe. Define a strategic vision against a glocal visual identity and set the standards for creative content (all media, from photography, video, animation, etc.). Set the standards, own and create the future identity of the Timberland brand, globally.
* Build an all-around and digital savvy creative team with the mission to equip Timberland to inspire the next generation.
* Help us build an e-commerce digital content studio for the future and create internal tools for the digital age such as digital showroom, catalog, etc. Reinvent how we creatively go to market in the digital world.
Lead, drive and execute against an always-on digital marketing model and create inspirational content and experiences against digital seasonal briefs. Art direct from brief, to concept, to shoot, to retouch and create new standards to elevate art direction, photography, videography, and digital animation across the globe.

In addition to being a self-starter, highly organized, and able to work well with individuals at all levels, as the ideal candidate, you will have:
10+ years of experience in retail design in a corporate environment or in a design consultancy firm.
* 10+ years of experience as a designer and/or creative design in the Brand Design Field.
* Excellent portfolio showcasing creative direction, brand building, storytelling, conceptual and executive skills in integrated campaigns.
* Experience and passion to create against digital consumer needs and touchpoints.
* Excited to work in a dynamic, fast-paced creative culture, with the flexibility to change gears for different projects.
* Solid presentation and influencing skills and demonstrated ability to build teams and drive internal and external creatives and integrate their talent with the needs of the brand and the business.
