As the company's second line of defense, Corporate Risk or Independent Risk Management provides independent oversight of risk-taking activities. Independent Risk Management establishes and maintains Wells Fargo's risk management program and provides oversight, including challenges to and independent assessment of, the frontline's execution of its risk management responsibilities. We manage risk according to the Risk Management Framework and ensure all employees understand their individual accountability for managing risk.
Credit Risk
Credit Risk independently oversees the management of credit risk exposures (including monitoring and reporting on aggregate credit exposures across groups, legal entities, geographies, and jurisdictions) and the quality of credit risk management practices across the company. This oversight extends to all phases of a loans life cycle, including origination, underwriting, risk analysis, approval, documentation, boarding, monitoring, loss recognition, modification, and collection activities.
Credit Risk develops, maintains, and ensures adherence to companywide credit risk frameworks, policies, and procedures that are aligned with the Board-approved risk appetite. The group also works with credit officers and business leaders in the front line to:
Ensure that lending policies and procedures enable bankers to adhere to company Expectations
* Provide leadership and governance for the estimation of forecasted credit losses in compliance with accounting and supervisory regulations to estimate allowance for credit loss and risk-weighted asset estimations
* Independently evaluate the quality of group and line-of-business policies and procedures and their adherence to corporate-level frameworks, policies, and procedures
* Maintain a record of the loan portfolio for use in reporting and analysis at the enterprise level CCP part of the Commercial Credit Admn team
Credit Oversight Sr Mgr - Credit Risk Administration
The person selected for this opportunity will lead the commercial credit policy team responsible for the development of enterprise commercial credit policies. Provide guidance to others in the development of line of business level policies. Act as subject matter expert for all questions and activities related to commercial credit policies. Ensure commercial credit policy adheres to enterprise requirements including the Policy Management Policy and Change Management Policy. Drive improvement in commercial credit policies by consolidating/eliminating policies where possible and eliminating non-policy related content. Chair the Commercial Credit Policy Council.

Required Qualifications
* 7+ years of experience in risk role
* 5+ years of management or leadership experience
* 3+ years of policy and strategy development experience

* 7+ years of credit risk experience
* Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
* Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
* Ability to take initiative, identify opportunities and implement change
* Ability to present reports to and interact with senior leaders
* Ability to coordinate, lead and facilitate group meetings
Other Desired Qualifications
* Experience with writing enterprise credit policies, change management policies and policy exceptions
* Experience with a policy management tool
* Knowledge and understanding of documenting, creating, and implementing corporate wide policies
* Experience building partnerships and consulting effectively with leadership
Job Expectations
* Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
