Responsible for daily inspection efforts on multiple complex, large, and /or diverse projects in order to ensure contractor’s operations comply with project plans, specifications, and contract documents. Prepares daily and weekly reports on work accomplished by contractor and reviews periodical pay estimates with contractor for accuracy. Prepares sketches and assembles data for Field Engineer to utilize when making changes to the project. May participate in the mentoring, development, and evaluation of staff inspectors. Possess highest level of technical expertise; capable of addressing the most difficult and novel issues/problems.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
NICET Level III/ EIT/ Engineering Graduate
Must have NYCDDC-TWM (Trunk Water Main) Experience
Ability to operate relevant testing equipment related to assigned duties
Basic computer knowledge and skills

Assesses contractor activities including: inspection, proper installation sequencing, schedule compliance, and contract requirements.
Assists in review and modification of schedules, specifications, and drawings in order to identify basic construction or engineering problems.
Recommends and applies standard construction techniques and procedures in order to resolve identified problems.
Coordinates the activities of survey team.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
8 years construction experience unless otherwise required by state provisions
