What will you do?
The primary purpose of the Marketing Analytics Specialist is to manage the infrastructure and health of marketing and customer data to deliver actionable analytics, customer segmentation best practices and optimized lead conversion rates.

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Marketing Planning and Analytics, this role will provide stewardship of the customer and marketing data architecture and deliver the marketing analytics processes associated with marketing campaign performance and lead management pipeline. This position is responsible for delivering best-in-class, self-serve dashboards that drive a metrics-driven performance culture for the development of MSD marketing campaigns as well maintaining marketing and customer data health to ensure optimum segmentation and campaign efficiency.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Develop standardized marketing dashboards that support strategic decision making in marketing campaign development
* Advance current data visualization capabilities to effectively use marketing data to help tell the full story of marketing project
* Help govern marketing channel tracking strategies
* Take structured and ad hoc requests for reporting from the MSD marketing stakeholders and provide requested output in format optimized for the end user
* Leverage best practices reporting examples to develop reporting for requestors
* Maintain content management infrastructure associated with making these reports and ensure tools are widely available to end users
* Perform analytics on resulting reports to define key trends and associations
* Provide recommendations to continuously improve marketing campaigns
* Understand our customers through data analysis; helping to define how these findings should influence global marketing efforts
* Maintain MSD Divisional Marketing Team KPIs
* Maintain customer data health to ensure optimum segmentation and targeting
* Administrate the MSD Marketing Plan and Campaign hierarchies in CRM
* Data steward for all marketing related master data standards
* Monitor and provide data analytics related to divisional blog and social media

How will you get there?
Education:

* BA in marketing, business, computer science or related field required

Experience:

* 3+ years of related experience & demonstrable record of success
* Proven experience working on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors
* Experience within a B2B marketing environment. Scientific instruments industry experience preferred

* Proficient knowledge of contemporary marketing database technologies and best practices
* Proficient knowledge of customer segmentation, data mining, marketing automation, CRM/sales force automation processes and tools
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and be goal orientated to accomplish tasks
* Ability to work effectively and influence others in a matrixed environment
