The Asset Management Team consists of multiple Equipment Control Coordinators across our Milford and Warren campuses. A database administrator supports the team with reporting while a logistics coordinator moves all specialized test equipment throughout the campuses. This is long-term, cohesive team providing multiple levels of experience for growth and support. We are ONE TEAM and THINK CUSTOMER as our key GM Behaviors.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

In this role, you will understand the appropriate engineering and/or analytical methods, participate in peer reviews, and be able to follow detailed instructions from leaders or peers. Collaborating with other to meet requirements will be a consistent part of your day. You will be familiar with the Global Vehicle Development Process and stay on top of current product developments and trends in your areas of responsibility. We encourage you to share lessons learned with peers and managers. Additional responsibilities include:

* Creating simple project plans

* Making recommendations based on work completed

* Keeping your manager informed of assignment status, timing, and technical issues

* Taking advantage of all learning opportunities

* Documenting work completed

* Performing other related duties as assigned

Position Function Responsibility:

* Customer service support for Proving Ground and Test Labs

* Understands the GMS (Global Manufacturing System) and its principles

* Controls/tracks the status of test equipment in the GEETS (Global Engineering Equipment Tracking System) metrology database

* Supports the life cycle (procurement to disposal) of GM capital assets for specific departments/locations in multiple databases

* Coordinates the tracking of new capital assets to ensure that the capital asset tags are affixed to the correct asset by the respectable owner of the equipment

* Facilitates annual physical inventories as required by department and GM Finance

* Coordinates with GM Finance on yearly capital reporting/status

* Arranges test equipment for repair, maintenance and calibration including shipping, receiving, and purchase order accounting

* Supports the request and/or approval of GM CSTS Shippers as required by the instrument rooms

* Facilitates the classification of test equipment being shipped internationally on GM CSTS Shippers with the support from the GM Office of Export Compliance

* Coordination and execution of the calibration schedule by working with GM activities and calibration/maintenance suppliers as required

* Utilizes GEETS to maintain calibration requirements and schedules for all equipment as required to support of ISO compliance and quality data acquisition/analysis

* Coordinating the use of shared equipment assigning to end users and track usage for equipment

* Technical and inventory tracking of equipment/systems upon return ensure availability to go for next use

* Follows the GM ILM Guidelines for equipment manuals, prints, and purchase order information

* Occasionally required to drive GM owned vehicles on and off GM property for business

Additional Job Description

Educational / Experience Required:

* Associates Degree required

* Strong experience with customer service operations

Skills / Abilities Required:

* Experience and knowledge with GEETS

* Applications - Level 4 Preferred

* Experience with ISO 17025 requirements

* Experience with test and measurement equipment operation and maintenance

* Experience with precision instrument material handling requirements

* Skilled at using Microsoft Outlook & Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)

* SAP Requester and Shopping Cart Monitor apps

* CSTS (Consolidated Shipping and Tracking System) Shipper System requester background

* PowerBi Reporting Software knowledge

* Understand computer hardware/software including office equipment

* Must be able to multi-task daily

* Must be organized and able to prioritize daily tasks

Physical / Demands:

* Lifting to 50 pounds

* Experience with palletizing/banding packages heavier than 50 lbs.
