Job Summary:

The Walt Disney Company's Controllership team is seeking a Financial Accounting Analyst to support the accounting for Hulu's fast-growing slate of Original Content. As a Financial Accounting Analyst, you will report to the Manager, Content Accounting, with direct exposure to the Director, Content Accounting. Responsibilities:

* Own specific content accounts, which includes the preparation of all related month-end close journal entries and supporting work paper reconciliations
* Track development, production, and licensing milestones and record the related accounting impact for a diverse portfolio of content
* Prepare analyses of content licensing agreements to determine appropriate application of accounting policies
* Maintain the integrity and accuracy of accounting data related to content licensing agreements, including updating the relevant contractual terms in the system and tracking all payments and related amortization
* Analyze contract information and gather transaction data to determine filmed content-specific accounting accruals, including participations and residuals
* Collaborate with the Content FP&A, Legal, and Production teams to obtain appropriate and timely data to support content accounting records
* Liaise directly with Accounts Payable and third-party content partners regarding content remittance and issuance
* Maintain accounting policy and process documentation, including key Sarbanes-Oxley controls surrounding the capitalization, amortization, and impairment processes for content
* Assist with the testing of and contribute directly to technology implementations for applications supporting content accounting
* Provide support for internal and external audits, including preparing content-related audit schedules and financial statement footnotes and disclosures
* Support ad-hoc projects when necessary

Basic Qualifications:

* At least 2 years of experience, with at least one year of relevant public accounting experience
* Bachelors in Accounting, Finance, or related field
* Relevant accounting experience within the media and entertainment industry, with knowledge specific to ASC 920 and ASC 926
* Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft business suite, specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization
* Team oriented outlook with a positive attitude and a fit with our Hulu culture

Preferred Qualifications:

* Knowledge of the Subscription Video On Demand industry
* Experience with Workday financials
* CPA license
