Position Overview
Siemens Weiss Spindle Service in the Mentor, OH, facility is looking for a Repair Center Technician for Tooling Machine Spindles. As a specialist in the development and manufacturing of high-precision motor spindle units, this group will supply a full range of standardized and individual spindle solutions. Service is a top priority at Weiss and were hiring technicians for our US repair center!
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Perform initial inspections on incoming spindle units
Disassemble, Assemble and clean machine tool spindles
Test Run and commission of spindle units utilizing Siemens 611 & S120 drives
Oscilloscope to set up encoder systems
Electrical set up of analog and proximity sensors
Utilization of Vibration Measuring Equipment to balance repaired product
The successful candidate must have the following abilities:
Requires sitting, standing, bending and reaching
May require lifting to 75 pounds
Required Skills / Experience:
High School Diploma or GED
Experience with electric motors
Ability to read mechanical drawings
Basic Hands on electrical and mechanical skills
General Computer Knowledge
Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills
Excellent time management skills, the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
Self-Motivated to work productively, efficiently and prioritize duties
Work Overtime as needed
