The Trust Custom Studio, is a fast-growing team of energetic writers, content and creative strategists, videographers, designers, photo editors and developers. The work spans a variety of forms -- short- and long-form reported articles, documentary videos, interactive data visualizations, animations and more.

The Trust is looking to hire a Creative Director, to work across the Tech, Media and Telecommunications vertical. As the Creative Director, you will partner with an Editorial Director and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, from groups such as sales, marketing, performance, and planning, to help develop creative experiences that are unique to The Trust and that will keep consumers coming back for more. You will assist in the development of the creative for our experience solutions, by collaborating with our internal Sales and Marketing teams. You will need a gift for communication in both written and spoken forms - being easily able to convey ideas concisely with clear and compelling concepts and write-ups. You must be able to deliver C-Level presentations and beautifully executed programs. This role will report directly to the Global Head of Creative. An ideal candidate has 6-8 years of experience.

Responsibilities

* The Creative Director will be expected to create beautiful and effective content and experiences that spark imaginations and influence the most influential audiences around the world.
* This role will partner with an Editorial Director in the Tech, Media and Telco vertical.

* You'll help design, brainstorm, build and execute innovative multi-platform native and branded experiences across Dow Jones paid post environments and other platforms.

* In this position, you will be combining creative expertise with Dow Jones compelling media and collaborating with business stakeholders, editors, designers, producers and developers to define the user interface of these executions.

* You will be tasked with helping brands discover their story and leveraging the multimedia storytelling power of Dow Jones to create compelling custom content that informs, entertains and engages target audiences.

Job Requirements

* You will lead the team responsible for visual creative concepts and development of all types of experiences and materials in pre and post-sale for clients, with a focus on design-first narratives.
* You will have a strong background in the TMT space.

* You will be highly skilled at creating storyboards, wireframes and mocks necessary to guide development of beautiful, original, and creative branded paid post experiences from concept to implementation.

* Create visual designs that address business, brand, market, and user requirements, including the design and production of site layouts, marketing elements, rich media units, content treatments and user interface elements.

* You will have the ability to work well in a collaborative environment with other designers, writers, developers and video producers.

* You will have a strong visual and video sensibility.

* You will brainstorm and collaborate with Client Services/Sales/Strategy teams as well as other stakeholders to express cross-platform programs and experiences.

* You will work with web developers and production to ensure successful delivery of the final work product.

* You will be confident and not afraid to contribute innovative ideas to shape effective ad experiences across digital, mobile, print and video platforms.

* You will be able to present your designs to clients and articulate your vision.

Requirements:

* BA/BFA in graphic design or digital media or relevant experience
* 6-8 years of creative direction, marketing / advertising / design experience

* Self starter--ability to work independently as well as in cross-functional groups

* Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite & Microsoft Office Fluency in the fundamentals of design and detail-oriented

* Strong understanding and experience in video development and creation

* Excellent organizational and communication skills

* Strong project/time management and multitasking abilities

* Interests in advertising, marketing, media, social media and branding

* Eagerness to produce powerful campaigns and be part of a bigger team

* Positive and enthusiastic attitude

* Strong strategic, conceptual skills and a good knowledge of the digital landscape

* Ability to prioritize and manage work, adhering to critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

* Fluent in the full Adobe Creative Suite, Powerpoint and Keynote. Knowledge of different CMS platforms is a huge plus
* Experience creating wireframes, sketches, UI and final visual design for desktop, mobile and tablet (and all production methods associated with each)

* Video production, editing/motion graphics/interactive design ability a plus

* Understanding of UI/UX design and high interest in inventing and developing new experiences for all devices

* Strong portfolio showing previous visual and creative campaign work

* Staying abreast of the evolving technology and design landscape including the emergence of new standards and devices
