Maxim's Core Products Group BU is seeking an experienced Business Manager with product management and product marketing experience to grow our revenue, customer base and market share in standard power products. Experience leading new product development and marketing current portfolio with successes under belt penetrating diverse customer-base in multiple end markets.
This is an exciting opportunity to drive a large base of current products and help drive new product development with responsibility for strategy, business plan, product plan, and marketing making a significant impact on Maxims growth and success.
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
* Business Plan
* Identify DC/DC and LDO market opportunities, technology trend and growth areas to formulate new product development plan
* Carry out business plan and conduct phase review
* Develop strategy and resources plan
* Identify derivatives and variants to satisfy evolving market needs
* New Product Development
* Analyze the market and competition to determine areas of focus, direction, and relative strengths and weakness
* Work closely with the field and customers to develop product-line roadmaps
* Work with product definition and engineering managers to execute the new developments
* Track the new developments (NPI) and resolve problems quickly to keep them on schedule
* Product & Business Management:
* Track and manage the development of the products and keep them on schedule.
* Manage product quoting process, pricing and maintain a healthy margin
* Provide competitive analysis, market segmentation
* Drive cost reduction and yield improvement plan
* Coordinate with design/test engineering, QA, fabs, and supply chain to drive business
* Marketing:
* Create content for PR communication, Promotion, Ads, Data Sheets, seminars, partnerships, and reference designs
* Coordinate and Conduct FAEs/Account managers/Distributors training to get unfair mindshare of the field
* Develop Sales & Marketing - Sales Guides, Brochures, Design Guides, Web pages
* Sales & Business Development:
* Lead Business engagement from major customers
* The Primary point of contact for AM and FAEs; travel as required
* Work with Field to develop and execute account penetration strategies
* Secure design wins, work with regional sales/distribution to grow revenue
Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or higher plus minimum 5 years of experience in managing in power management ICs preferably with exposure to multiple end-markets
* Marketing experience exploiting market transitions to sell existing products using multiple sales channels
* Willingness and ability to multi-task and change priorities on short notice
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
