On Call Culinary Center Chef

The hours for this position are wide-ranging: some weeks there may be none and some weeks may be up 20 hours.

Champion Land OLakes Foodservice brands to support business initiatives by leveraging industry knowledge and expertise. Advocate for the end user (chefs/restaurant operators) through product testing, kitchen support, and content development.

Product Testing & Kitchen Support:

-Maintain understanding of product portfolios kitchen performance and end user application

-Conduct SOP testing for new and existing products

-Test handling instructions for new and existing products

-Execute and document all work according to established procedures and guidelines

-Represent chef/operator perspective and provide industry trends, insights, and knowledge to team

-Efficient food preparation while maintaining high food safety and sanitation standards

-Support product trainings through product sourcing, food preparation, and sample handling

-Preparation and execution of internal and external events

Content Development:

-Develop high quality recipes to meet defined objectives such as advertising, brochures, and customer programs

-Execute and document recipe testing and development according to established procedures and guidelines

-Menu analysis to inform recipe development and trend reports

-Create content for various purposes which could include copy, photography and video

-Remain up-to-date on industry, menu, and food trends

General Department Activities:

-General Culnary Center projects as assigned

-Actively collaborate with department staff and on-call team as assigned

-Ensure accurate and timely submission of timecard
