Job Description:
* Supervise direct labor workforce consisting of inventory management professionals, engaged in all manners of material handling, including receiving, induction, cycle counting, order picking, auditing, kit creation, job setup and teardown
* Maintain a consistent shop floor presence, leading by example to ensure a safe, orderly, disciplined, fair and positive work environment for all employees.
* Effectively communicate team policies, performance expectations, strategic initiatives, and projects
* Ensure successful performance against department metrics by taking tactical action or implementing process improvements as necessary
* Develop workforce skills and talent through recognition and targeted coaching
* Engage support functions and customers on day-to-day issues and strategic improvements
* Utilizing e3 (continuous improvement) tools and techniques to develop a high performing culture committed to excellence and improvement
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree with a minimum 6 years prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
* Ability to adjust and react to requests quickly
* Knowledge of WMS (warehouse management systems), preferably AWL
* Strong business acumen - understands the big picture
* Self-starter, results oriented, with a can-do attitude
* Strong problem-solving skills
* Team player/Team builder - peers can count on support when needed
