As the Senior Director - Data Platforms and Engineering (BI, DS, Analytics Platforms) provides hands-on and thought leadership around enterprise data platforms that enable data science, advanced analytics and business intelligence. This role needs to provide overall IS&T enterprise guidance around architecture that enables the collection of data to support the needs of the data platform's customers. You will be responsible for an organization that has around 40 FTEs and staff augmentation resources that support the various aspects of the platform.

Additionally, successful candidates will have experience around conceptualizing how data assets can be leveraged for business use cases and seeing future opportunities that will enable multi-year strategic roadmaps. The team is using a completely cloud-native technology stack that includes Microsoft Azure, databricks, Apache Spark, Apache Airflow, Kubernetes, etc. and utilizes forward thinking technologies that support the business needs.

Own the operation of our global enterprise data platforms that include a data lake, data science and business intelligence platforms and ensure as close to 100% uptime as possible
Azure cloud experience around Big Data technologies and frameworks
Business Intelligence experience, preferably PowerBI
Knowledge of common ingestion patterns and how to utilize real-time, stream based processing
Agile Development Methodologies
Mentor and enable our current associates to thrive in our organization
Demonstrate ownership of data integrity; Ensure that it supports the analyses and recommendations being proposed
Provide guidance for data integrity issues, ongoing maintenance, and data governance for digital data.
Monitor and report data security compliance / access controls around our data
Maintain detailed documentation of data collection methods and dependencies
Work with key stakeholders to integrate analytics requirements, and updates into production cycles
Solid knowledge of the SDLC and enforcement of standard software development practices
Conduct audits and troubleshoot tracking gaps to maintain data confidence and implement data standardization practices
Support a data-driven culture by educating the organization on everyday uses of data as a resource
Work with our Data Science / Analytics organization in helping achieve our product goals

Bachelor's Degree required. Emphasis in Computer Science, Business Administration, Statistics, Information Science, Web Analytics or related field preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of technology leadership experience.
Minimum of 5 years of experience leading Big Data / Data Ingestion based teams, leading Business Intelligence implementations.
Experience leading a Shared Services / Platform organization, client-first mentality, collaborative and helpful attitude.
Expert knowledge of data warehousing concepts, data schemas, etc.
Proven knowledge of web standards and cross-browser compatibility issues.
Extensive experience working with a Data Science / Product organization group and enabling them to deliver at a fast pace.
Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously while successfully meeting established goals and deadlines; manage work in a fast-paced, and sometimes ambiguous environment.
Understanding of online measurement and analytics, with the ability to provide meaningful and actionable insights and analysis.
Proven history of self-direction, creativity, and ability to meet deadlines.
High level of attention to detail, quality, and effective verbal and written communication skills along with excellent follow-through.
