Job Description

Facebook is seeking a State Income Tax Manager to join its tax team. The candidate should also have the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

State Income Tax Manager Responsibilities

* Preparation and review of income tax provision for each reporting entity under US GAAP.

* State and local income tax, gross receipts tax, and business license compliance, including vendor management through preparation of workpapers and tax returns for all Facebook entities and subsidiaries.

* Regularly review tax filing footprint, optimizing tax planning strategies for new laws or business developments.

* Identify and implement state income tax processes improvements.

* Monitor legislative and judicial state tax developments, proposing mitigating strategies as applicable.

* Manage various state income tax audits and notices.

* Work closely with advisors and other SALT team members to provide comprehensive tax solutions to upcoming state tax issues.

* Provide backup to other SALT team members as required.

Minimum Qualifications

* 7+ years of progressive experience in a state corporate income tax role at Big 4 CPA firm, law firm and/or large multinational company, fintech background.

* Knowledge of ASC 740.

* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field.

* Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

* Experience working in Checkpoint RIA and other research tools.

* Communication skills and friendly demeanor.

Preferred Qualifications

* CPA or MST/J.D./LL.M. in Taxation highly preferred.
