The New Product Experimentation (NPE) is a community of entrepreneurs at Facebook building and testing new standalone apps and experiences that can eventually mature into meaningful growth vectors for the company. As such, NPE is constantly working on a variety of different products, each with its own hypothesis, target audience, and go-to-market needs. The team is searching for a versatile Consumer Product Marketer who has experience in helping early stage products find product-market fit. You will be responsible for developing a strong understanding of the target market and customer, influencing product development, and leading go-to-market. The ideal candidate is a strategic product marketer who is analytical and creative, cares deeply about consumers and products, crafts compelling messages, and excels at leading complex projects in a dynamic environment built to move fast, ruthlessly prioritize, and pivot quickly.
Product Marketing Manager, New Product Experimentation Responsibilities
* Be the expert on our target audience, representing users needs to internal teams
* Be a trusted, strategic influence to Product, informing product and marketing roadmaps through ongoing competitive and trend analyses
* Shape overall product narrative to ensure a differentiated and valuable market position
* Build & execute go-to-market plans to launch new products and achieve business goals
* Be able to identify ambiguity and work to systematically drive clarity through strategic framing and stakeholder alignment
* Work effectively across cross functional teams such as product, design, research, data science, comms and others to achieve business goals
* Demonstrate strong organizational skills to manage & execute complex launches
Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in Business, Marketing, or other related discipline
* 5+ years of experience in marketing with a consumer focus
* Experience in the technology, gaming, ecommerce, media or other related industry
* Experience owning end-to-end go to market strategy and execution
* Analytical and problem-solving experience
* Experience partnering with and influencing Product Management
* Experience partnering with cross-functional teams (internally and externally)
* Project management experience
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in early stage consumer-focused products
* Experience with launching innovative and disruptive products
* Experience working in a startup or highly complex/ambiguous environment
* Experience working with/knowledge of performance marketing
* Experience working across cross functional teams influencing using high level strategic thinking, creative, and detailed execution
