What you will do:

* Provide strong project management and leadership as part of the Life Sciences RD&E; team and drive communication with industry experts, cross divisional technology areas and global teams
* Capture, explore, experiment, and develop innovation ideas and concepts working in coordination with the Global RD&E;, Marketing, Sales, and Regulatory teams to bring the best ideas forward
* Identify customer needs or emerging market trends that impact Cleanroom customers and develop proactive solutions
* Develop and evaluate new microbiology related test methods to assess new technologies in the lab and the field using experimental design, statistics, and data analysis techniques
* Develop relationships with suppliers and inventors to leverage innovation and differentiation
* Serve as the external customer facing subject matter expert to showcase our Life Science microbiology innovation
* Engage with EPA/FDA as our Microbiology cleanroom expert when we are advocating for Pharma-relevant standards
* Qualify contract laboratory facilities to coordinate microbiological testing when needed
* Understand Ecolabs patent landscape, expand our position and protect it as needed
* Maintain employee safety standards including 6S lab standards

Minimum Qualifications:

* Master's Degree in microbiology, biochemistry, bioinformatics, biological engineering or related discipline and 5+ years of experience working on developing robust testing/experimental design/data analysis, or
* PhD in microbiology, biochemistry, bioinformatics, biological engineering or related discipline and 3+ years of experience working on developing robust testing/experimental design/data analysis
* Experience in big data analytics and high throughput (HTP) analysis techniques
* 3+ years cleanroom and/or pharmaceutical/life science industry experience
* 1+ years of experience working in a regulated environment
* 3+ years of experience in project management
* 5+ years leadership experience

Preferred Qualifications:

* 3+ years working in digital systems related to data collection or organization
* 3+ years of experience working with business and marketing teams to align new technologies/innovations to customer needs
* Demonstrated experience in development of fully validated test methods
* Experience with Quality Management Systems
* Track record of intellectual property, published work in recognized journal, or products launched on the market
* Experience working with commercial customers and regulatory agencies
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
