Job Summary

We are seeking a Finance Controller to be a key player in shaping the future of the newly formed Telecommunications Systems Business (TSB), which is working on developing 5G solutions.5G is one of the most important technologies that will emerge in the coming decade and it will enable a myriad of important technology advances, from smart cities and IoT to connected health care.Dell Technologies intends to be at the forefront of 5G by being a leader in enabling Telecom Service Providers to build out 5G systems and to empower our enterprise customers to exploit it.

This will require direct partnership with the SVP and VP level business partners to manage our rapidly growing business.A strong candidate will work at both a strategic and operational level to drive financial deliverables (see below) and make recommendations to enable strong executive decision making.

This individual will be expected to prepare multi-year financial models and strategic analyses looking at a range of factors across the internal Dell landscape and the external macroeconomic environment.In addition, this individual will need to be able to understand the business dynamics across Dell Technologies to make proper financial analyses about how newly developed products and services will have an impact to the Income Statement and Balance Sheet.

We recently unveiled our APEX vision that will enable customers to radically simplify how they consume and deliver IT through on-demand and as-a-Service offerings.This individual will work to enable new Telco products through this program and model the long-term financial impact.

This position requires extensive cross-group coordination, excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to formulate issues and recommendations clearly. You must be able to execute under pressure/deadlines and drive forward even when faced with ambiguity.

Job Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:

Serve as financial P&L; controller for new 5G Telco offerings, which includes working cross functionally with Engineering, Sales, Product Management, Marketing, Server BU, Storage BU, Networking BU, Marketing, Services, Legal, and others to drive forward long-term strategy by putting together new product specific business cases, modeling scenarios, and investment proposals. This role supports an emerging 5G technology market involving Systems, Software, & Radio with high executive leadership attention.

Actively engage with the Telco Product Roadmap and create financial analyses to determine how new products and services will impact the Dell Technologies Income Statement and Balance Sheet.This requires the candidate to understand and be in tune with cause and effect relationships across the Dell technologies portfolio.

Represent the Telco Finance team as leader for Project APEX.This will include working cross functionally on a highly visible project, influencing how TSB products are offered through APEX, and determining the long-term financial impact of offering our products through this program.

Serve as project manager for new product pricing & overall TSB pricing strategy. This includes working cross functionally with Center of Competence (CoC), Marketing, Sales, Product Management, and others to effectively price new products.

Job Requirements & Qualifications

The ability to distill analytical results into clear and concise presentation, then deliver that presentation to executives

The position's responsibilities require a clear understanding of the P&L;, the use of analytical modeling, and business problem solving

Candidate must be relied upon to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines and should be able to effectively and professionally interact with peers and all levels of management

As-a-Service and DFS experience is a plus

Strong interpersonal skills and a knack for productive collaboration across varying departments

Able to successfully organize, lead and direct large teams of people

Highly experienced with project coordinating and management

Must be familiar with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Bachelors degree in Finance or related field and 8+ years experience in Finance or Accounting role
