Job Summary

Reporting to the Manager of Transportation, you will develop the Transportation Planners by leading projects that benefit supply chain efficiency, cost and service to the customer. You will support essential transportation programs by delivering data analysis and completing assigned project tasks. You will implement defined financial goals and metrics related to transportation management including: load factors, mode usage and route guide compliance.

Position Responsibilities

* Hire and train new employees in both transportation systems and processes.
* Lead transportation related projects and contribute feedback for system improvement and process efficiency
* Partner with Supply Chain teams: Customer Service, S&OP and Enterprise Procurement to ensure alignment and support changes to our requirements
* Monitor T&W financial metrics to improve service and cost
* Focus on supply chain efficiencies, service levels, financial results, and team productivity
* Lead team of Transportation Planners
* Escalate and identify issues to Transportation Planning Managers regarding facility, carrier or customer trends
* Load planning responsibilities for set facilities

Position Qualifications

* Bachelor's Degree
* 5+ years of transportation experience
* 2+ years of leadership experience in a team-based environment
* Understanding of reporting systems, and knowledge of excel
* Experience in data manipulation and visualization
* Influence management
* Agile
* Experience with rail and motor carrier transportation management terms and concepts
* Experience training new employees on Standard Operating Procedures and transportation software/reporting
* Some travel necessary
* Microsoft Word, Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets), Outlook, SAP and OTM
