Under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, compounds and dispenses medical prescriptions. Assisting the pharmacist in providing pharmaceutical care to the patients of Regional Hospital of Scranton. May be expected to perform related clerical duties. Receives and stores incoming supplies. Verifies stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records. High school diploma or its equivalent required and six (6) months of clinical experience in a medical facility or drug store OR current enrollment as a pharmacy student OR enrollment in a pharmacy tech program required. May be expected to meet certain state certifications. Certification as a pharmacy technician preferred.
