The Industrial Designer for Kitchen is responsible for developing all design strategies for Cook & Bakeware, Kitchen Utensils and Kitchen Knives categories. This Industrial Designer is also responsible for ensuring that brand right, on-trend product is presented to the merchant team in a timely and profitable manner, while also developing growth business and product strategy.

Responsibilities:

* Developing and iterating designs through sketches, prototypes, renderings as outlined by Hard Home Design Director
* Developing products from concept to factory production while keeping within budgets and timelines
* Understanding the design idioms, briefs and categories & producing designs for designated BBB Owned Brands
* Use CAD software to refine designs and create virtual models of products
* Utilize 3D printing to create product prototypes that are both non-functional and working in order to evaluate their practicality
* Utilize computer-aided industrial design (CAID) software to instruct manufacturing equipment how to build the finalized product design and present to manufacturing department
* Independent thinker and worker who can easily adapt to a team approach

Job Skills & Qualifications Required:

* Robust CAD design knowledge and experience
* An analytical thinker who is energized by solving problems through design
* Knowledge of engineering for Cook & Bakeware, Kitchen Utensils, Kitchen Knives
* Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office, as well as industry-specific programs like SolidWorks
* Baccalaureate degree in industrial design Preferred:
* Experience with domestic or international cookware, bakeware, kitchen prep manufacturer
* Overseas factory experience

Work Environment:

* Work from home via TEAMS or ZOOM meetings until quarantine is lifted.
* Possible meetings at Union, NJ office when quarantine is lifted
* Engage collaboratively with all members of the Design Team
