As a core member of the Corporate Operational Excellence team, this person will execute the Operational Excellence strategy and lead the Global Lean Implementation. This person should enjoy hands on lean implementation and hands on development & coaching of others to implement lean. This individual should be a strong team player with highly developed communication and presentation skills. This position reports to the VP of Operational Excellence.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
* Support the Operating System Strategy to develop and drive lean thinking, lean capability and lean implementation across plants globally
* Develop certified lean leaders to drive the lean transformation in each plant
* Coach and mentor lean leaders and other plant leaders
* Develop lean best practices in pilot sites and proliferate to common plants/processes globally
* Standardize lean implementations and best practices to support learning, sustainability and proliferation.
* Support plants to develop effective Hoshin Strategic plans that define and drive the focused lean improvement efforts
* Determine best options to apply lean thinking and lean tools to drive improved learning and sustainable results
* Work closely with the site management to better understand how corporate OpEx can assist the sites in their lean journey
* Work with leadership in installing organizational supports for Operational Excellence (reviews, communications, rewards, software, etc.)
* 50% travel -some international

Qualifications:
* Must have hands on experience implementing Lean Thinking, Lean Tools and Kaizen events to drive Lean improvements in manufacturing operations
* Must have hands on experience teaching and coaching others to implement Lean Thinking and Lean Tools in manufacturing operations
* Must have advance knowledge of LEAN tools and methodologies
* Must have experience in effective root cause problem solving using Six Sigma or Toyota 8 Step Process. Six Sigma or 8 Step Process Certification preferred
* Must have experience managing teams and developing support programs
* Experienced implementing Lean Thinking and Lean Tools in Supply chain groups such as Planning, Fulfillment/Warehousing and Procurement.
* Ability to manage and support multiple people, teams and/or projects.
* Ability to apply Lean Thinking and Lean Tools in high volume or low volume operations.
* Proven skills working with cross-functional teams.
* Strong negotiating and influencing skills. The ability to drive change.
* Strong teaching and presentation skills required.
* Strong Coaching and Facilitation skills.
* Excellent reading, writing and verbal communication and platform skills in local language as well as in English.
* Broad business knowledge and ability to link customer needs with business processes.
* Advanced skills in , MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and Minitab
* Ability to manage multiple priorities.
Education/Experience:
* BS/BA degree or equivalent degree in Engineering, Business Management, or other related field of study. MBA, MS or other technical graduate degree preferred.
* Deep knowledge of Lean principles and Lean implementation in manufacturing and supply chain operations
* Minimum 10 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering or business operations, which includes a minimum of 3+ years of demonstrated process improvement success.
* Broad business knowledge and ability to link customer needs with business processes.
* Minimum 3 years experience working in an international company, interacting with diverse locations across the globe.
