Work Hours/Shift:
Per Diem Shifts will be when needed.
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under the direct supervision of the FANS director and management team, the cashier assists in the preparation, set up, serving and sales of food and beverage in the cafe. Operates cash register. Cleans and sanitizes work areas, front of house equipment and maintains safety standards.
Room Service PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Keep Room Service cold side stocked, cleaned, and organized.
* Prepares cold food and beverages according to recipe and production needs.
* Takes inventory of nursing pantries, prepares and assembles and stocks bulk nourishments; rotates, cleans and sanitizes following HACCP guidelines. Maintains daily accuracy in documentation for billing.
* Serves food on tray line, records temperatures for required items.
* Moves patient tray carts and bulk nourishments carts throughout the hospital and returns them to FANS.
* Displays excellent customer service skills in execution of duties to fulfill FANS mission.
* Delivers trays to patients using two patient identifiers and following policy for isolations, diabetic trays and other situations a s directed.
* Maintains condition and cleaning of floors, work stations and equipment used in performance of all duties.
* Assists in putting up stock, rotating stock, labeling and dating prepared foods.
* Participates in dish room duties of dumping, loading, and unloading. Washes pots and pans in 3 compartment sink as needed.
* Uses cleaning chemicals correctly and in required concentrations.
* Performs other duties as assigned in caf, catering, and/or production.

Cashier PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Sets up cafe food stations at each meal in a timely manner.
* Keeps all food and supplies restocked and attractively displayed.
* Ensures the highest customer service interactions.
* Sets up cash drawer and operates cash register with accurate cash handling.
* Processes Caf transactions through the Cash Register CBORD system using accurate item selection and correct payment options.
* Maintains sanitation of all areas, all equipment, including floors of the cafe and dining room.
* Maintains HACCP Temperature Logs.
* Maintains correct safety procedures, e.g. use of wet floor signs.
* May be required to transport food items and supplies, using company vehicle.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications - External
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
* Must have basic math skills and ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions in English.
* Good customer service skills required.
* Computer skills required
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
* * High School Diploma or GED.
* At least one-year experience in food service experience in hospitality or healthcare industry.
