The Loyalty Department has an opening for a Marketing Operations Manager. This position is located in Pleasanton, California.
Position Purpose
As a Marketing Operations Manager, you will track the weekly targeting of digital offers to our customers - covering a variety of strategies across our multiple divisions and communication channels. In this role you will be organizing the strategies we have already executed and the strategies we have planned in coming weeks. You will help lead discussions with the broader operations and strategy team so we can better understand what is working, what needs to be adjusted, and what to avoid from week to week. The work this team does is customer facing making your team one of the last touchpoints before our marketing and personalization efforts reach the customer. In addition to tracking strategies, you will also be responsible for our departments monthly loyalty newsletter featuring something new every month to excite our customers with new products, features and benefits.
An ideal candidate will have strong organizational, time management and communication skills. They will contribute right away and be highly diligent. They understand the importance of QA work and are very reliable when it comes to providing accurate information. They must be collaborative and proactive to gather pertinent information in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Build and maintain a calendar of loyalty strategies with digital offers and communications.
* QA strategic decisions in accordance with the variety of strategies running from loyalty, divisions, and marketing.
* Organize and document strategic decisions made for future weeks to keep intent and operations in sync.
* Correlate KPIs with strategies to identify successful efforts and potential opportunities.
* Manage the customer facing monthly loyalty newsletter featuring different savings, services, and loyalty benefits.
* Review loyalty-based marketing communications to ensure the loyalty goals are supported in the best way possible.
* Improve efficiencies and be a thought leader for more efficient process changes.
* Regularly meet with broader loyalty team to discuss strategies, priorities, and upcoming campaigns.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
* 5+ years of experience working with offer management, campaign management and/or digital offers.
* Proficiency with MS Office Suite, including Outlook & Excel.
* Prior experience with gathering and analyzing data from a loyalty and/or marketing standpoint.
* Demonstrable initiative & persistence in the realms of innovation and process improvement.
* Excellent Management skills.
* Exceptional Communication (written and oral) and problem-solving skills.
* Strong interpersonal skills.
* Experience with loyalty programs a strong plus.
* Experience with SQL a plus.

In 1939, Joe Albertson, a former Safeway district manager, took $5,000 he saved and $7,500 he borrowed from his wife’s Aunt Bertie, and partnered with L.S. Skaggs to open his first Albertsons store on 16th and State Streets in Boise, Idaho. Joe knew the keys of running a really great store, and it was all about working hard for the customers: give them the products they want, at a fair price, with lots of tender, loving care. Joe was innovative, too. He had one of the first in-store magazine racks in the country along with a scratch bakery and fresh ice cream made in-store. He worked hard, seven days a week, on his vision to build his company, and through his inspiring work ethic and tireless
determination to run the best store, the first store thrived. Just two years later, he had opened two other stores in neighboring communities and grew the fledgling company’s sales to over $1 million by the end of 1941.
