What youll do on a typical day:
* Collaborate with the product management team to define, the new product lines, upgrade path for existing products and defining project scope and approach
* Propose and lead the software product architecture to cover functional and non-functional requirements using Microservice design principles, integration strategies and the deployment strategies
* Design and develop Microservices using cutting edge technologies such as Microsoft C, ASP.NET Core, SQL Server, Couchbase, Kafka, Rabbit MQ, Elastic Search, and more Enter primary duty
* Define software development standards and best practices that should be followed within the software development team
* Mentor other senior and junior software engineers on the team and will make sure that the software development standards and best practices are being followed within the team
What you need to succeed at XPO:
At a minimum, youll need:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience Enter years/industry experience
* 5 or more years of development experience in software product architecture, design and development within a software industry
* Experience in architecting and developing software for scalable Infrastructure and distributed systems.
Itd be great if you also have:
* Master's degree in computer science or engineering or equivalent experience
* 3 years of experience with Visual Studio, TeamCity, Octopus, Docker and Kubernetes Containers
* Experience in software scaling, software/hardware resource monitoring, Vertical scaling and horizontal scaling of software systems.
* Microservices and Domain Driven Design exposure
* MVC pattern and Spring framework
* Active advocate for quality, technical and architectural standards.
