Job Description

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is now seeking a Senior Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis to join our team at the Parsippany - 22 Sylvan Way location in Parsippany, New Jersey.

Job Summary

The Senior Financial Analyst, North America will be a key member of the corporate finance team, providing critical financial planning and analysis support to our internal management team as well as the North American leadership teams. This role will be a key part in the forecasting and reporting of our externally reported RevPAR and Net Room Growth metrics for our 5,000+ North American hotels. These are critical metrics which are tracked by analysts and investors relative to industry competitors. Moreover, this role must be able to recognize meaningful performance trends and account for macroeconomic factors in order to project and measure performance of more than $500M of annual revenues. This includes being able to appropriately bifurcate data into relevant sets such as geographic region, chain scale, market, market tract, location types, etc. to identify operational trends. The role will also provide key day to day financial support of our brand leaders, franchise operations, and development teams ensuring the highest level of financial oversight and that budgets are achieved. Furthermore, the Senior Financial Analyst will assist with the completion and delivery of weekly, monthly, and quarterly processes and corporate presentations.

The ideal candidate will be a critical thinker and someone who has a working knowledge of financial statements and accounting principles, a proven ability to meet tight deadlines while ensuring accurate and timely completion of required tasks, a familiarity with corporate financial systems, and a strong desire to exceed expectations and make a meaningful contribution to the organization.

Complexities

Scope/Financial Responsibility
This role will be a key member of the North American finance team, which is responsible for more than $500M in revenues, as well as cost budgets of more than $100M. Additionally, as mentioned above, the driver metrics that are managed by this person are directly measured by industry analysts and investors.

Abilities/Key Competencies/Skills
The ideal candidate will need to have a strong financial background, but also be able to clearly communicate and present results to business leaders throughout the organization. Additionally, the candidate must be able to accurately consolidate data, develop actionable reporting, and work under the pressures that comes with the earnings and monthly close processes. Familiarity with corporate financial systems would be beneficial as well.

Education/Experience

* At least 2-3 years of relevant work experience
* Business degree or MBA a plus but not required
* Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel required (VLOOKUP, INDEX & MATCH, Data Tables, Pivots)
* Knowledge and experience with corporate financial systems (Oracle, SmartViewEssbase, Hyperion, or Dodeca) are a plus
