Bankruptcy Specialist 1 - Auto

The Bankruptcy Specialist 1 with Wells Fargo Auto is responsible for analyzing account status upon receipt into Bankruptcy department and determining the best course of action to maximize company recovery within established Policy and Procedure. Ensures accounts handled in full compliance with applicable Bankruptcy rules and Company guidelines. Processes all paperwork associated with each case, either manually or electronically. May recommend collateral repossession and/or other outside action. May assign account for outside action. May negotiate with attorneys and/or debtors where permissible. May work directly with court personnel. May work directly with Law Department. May file appropriate documents/forms directly with court. May work on special projects. May provide direction to less experienced staff. Other duties as assigned.

Successful candidate must be flexible to work any shift during the departments hours of operation, which are Monday Friday, 6 am to 5:30 pm. Hours will be set by the manager. Hours/Days may change due to business need.

**Job opening may close sooner depending on candidate volume**

This position is currently working remotely but will be expected to return to the location at a future point in time when Wells Fargo returns to the standard operating model.

Required Qualifications
* 1+ year of experience in one or a combination of the following: financial industry, loss prevention or customer service; or an AA/AS degree or higher; or 2+ years of military service

Desired Qualifications
* 1+ year of bankruptcy experience
* 1+ year of financial industry experience
* Bankruptcy experience
* Ability to identify all resultant trustee transactions to ensure bank compliance
* Ability to make timely and independent judgment decisions while working in a fast-paced and results-driven environment
* Ability to manage a pipeline of work from assignment to completion
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
* Customer service focus with the ability to analyze, research, and respond to moderately complex customer or agency issues and complaints
* Knowledge and understanding of bankruptcy investigation
* Knowledge and understanding of bankruptcy reporting
* Knowledge and understanding of bankruptcy, loss control, or foreclosure processes
* Knowledge and understanding of loan servicing, default servicing, or bankruptcy
* Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
* Strong math skills
* Basic Microsoft Office skills
* Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills

Other Desired Qualifications
* Knowledge of Wells Fargo Auto systems: Itop, CARS, Dealer Track and ICMP.
