Job Description
We are the Product team driving VisaNet +AI, a set of innovative client facing products powered by Artificial Intelligence and delivered by VisaNet. These products are expected to enrich the Visa payment experience by solving long-standing payment challenges and drive net new revenue streams.
We are looking for someone with a worldview, a technologists attention to detail, a business owners approach, an entrepreneurs creative thinking and a real passion for payments. A sense of adventure and the ability to immerse themselves in brand new environments with every new assignment will be critical to success.
The Sr. Product Manager will wear many hats and over time will be responsible for end-to-end Product Management from ideation/build to marketing/sales. We are looking for motivated individuals who can provide thought leadership and strongly champion their products, both inside the organization and with our global customer base.
The role will be anchored in Foster City, but may require occasional domestic/international travel to work collaboratively with in-market teams should conditions allow.
Specific responsibilities:
* End-to-end product manager responsibilities for one or more products, with a CEO-like ownership mindset for assigned products. This includes all aspects from product ideation, business case development, requirements definition, implementation management, sales planning, product pricing, product collateral creation, internal training, client sales engagement and product analytics/KPIs.
* Effectively drive product strategy by synthesizing complex and often incomplete information, while working with cross-functional teams consisting of individuals from Product, Sales, Engineering, Marketing, and Legal.
* Bridge the gap between business and technology and partner with peers in other functional areas and across global/regional teams in developing an understanding of the competitive landscape and consolidating country and/or client feedback to reach key product management decisions regarding new product creation and enhancements to existing products.
* Produce insights and analyses to improve product performance, drive understanding of client issues and provide strategic guidance for new initiatives.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
* 5 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications
* 6+ years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 +years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
* 5 to 7 years of progressively more responsible business experience in the electronic payment domain
* Multi-functional product management and strategy development skills and experiences; ability to manage deliverables and to coordinate, work productively with, and demonstrate results to other Visa divisions
* Interest in building new products, grounded in invention and innovation
* Strategic thinker who can balance big picture strategy and flawless execution with high attention to detail and quality for all work products
* Strong interpersonal and executive verbal/written communication skills
* Ability to quickly learn and gain proficiency in areas with limited experience
* Strong user design approach to driving new product ideation that focuses on Visa client segments (financial institutions, merchants, fintechs and end consumers)
* Good understanding of Deep Learning technologies and experience working with data scientists is a plus
