BHT (Behavioral Health Technician) needed in Bucks, Montgomery, and Delaware counties!

Foundations Behavioral Health provides innovative behavioral health and academic services to children, adolescents and young adults working through a wide range of mental or behavioral health issues. One of these services offered by Foundations Behavioral Health is Intensive Behavioral Health Services (IBHS). This service is unique given that clinicians help individuals/families with behavioral health problems by providing serves in a more natural environment including homes, schools, and community locations. Foundations Behavioral Health provides IBHS in 3 counties: Montgomery, Bucks, and Delaware .

The primary goal of IBHS is to assist the child/adolescent in functioning more adaptively and efficiently in the home/school/community while guiding the parent/guardian to address the problematic behaviors in a more effective and constructive manner. The intent of IBHS is to promote treatment in the natural, least restrictive environment. The purpose is to offer new alternatives to the child/adolescent and the family that promotes problem solving, skill building, competency, empowerment, and self-sufficiency.

The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) is an independent contractor position within our IBHS program. The BHT provides behavioral and emotional support to children and adolescents in their homes, schools, and other community settings by implementing the treatment plan to promote positive, socially appropriate behavior. The BHT is responsible for recording data and charting progress.

The BHT can provide part or full time hours on their own availability. Evening and weekend availability is a plus. The BHT Is an ideal entry-level position for current college students or recent college graduates (psychology, sociology, criminal justice, and human development) to gain experience in the mental/behavioral health field.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications (must meet one of the below):
(1) Have a certification as a BCaBA.

Or (2) Have a certification as a RBT.

Or (3) Have a certification as a BCAT.

Or (4) Have a behavior health certification or behavior analysis certification from an organization that is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies or the American National Standards Institute.

Or (5) Have a high school diploma or the equivalent of a high school diploma and have completed a 40-hour training covering the RBT Task List as evidenced by a certification that includes the name of the responsible trainer, who is certified as a BCBA or BCaBA. This training can be found online for free through various organizations.

Or (6) Have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the provision of behavioral health services.
