This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. General maintenance positions are responsible for keeping machinery running to maintain continuous production. Operate all assigned electrical and mechanical equipment for the purpose of troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance also conducts tests of installed/repaired equipment/machinery and makes final adjustments. Under supervision: installs, maintains, repairs, and/or rebuilds complicated machines and plant equipment. Identifies all parts, supplies and services required to maintain equipment in assigned area and completes work orders in a timely manner meeting or exceeding pre-established deadlines to reduce downtime and meet production goals. Performs basic electric troubleshooting such as fuse and continuity, down time, and meet production goals. Performs basic electrical troubleshooting such as fuse and continuity checks. Position requires lifting, reaching, rotating, walking, climbing, bending, and squatting. Work environment is cold, hot, wet, dusty and noisy. Must be able to use basic hand and power tools to include: drills, grinders, drill press, band saws, multi-meter and other tools.
Requirements:

* Must have a minimum of six (6) months of mechanic work experience documented in the work history section of the application or be a graduate of an industrial maintenance training program. (can be a combination of employers as long as experience is at least 6 months).
Previous industrial maintenance experience preferred, (specifically Food Industry)
Basic understanding and ability to read manuals and logs, blue prints,
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Pay based on experience and educational training.
