Job Description

This position is responsible for operating machinery to ensure the continuous flow of product thru the production process and insuring proper ingredients/supplies are being used on the line. Responsible for monitoring and adjusting machine settings as needed and notifying supervisor if machines should require maintenance while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures

This position will be responsible for the day to day operation of equipment within the assigned area. The ability to drive and improve performance of the process in a proactive manner and avoids gaps in the process while ensuring quality and integrity of the Tyson Brand. Willingness to lead and direct team members as needed. Perform standard checks established for operations. HACCP understanding and guidance around work practices. Sanitation skills and responsibility to clean and set up equipment. Mechanical aptitude and ability to maintain the basic functionality to keep forward flow of the process. This position will require basic reading and general safety. Must be able to communicate well with others and the Supervisor.

Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Skills:

* Mechanical Ability to setup, operate and trouble shoot equipment
* Cleaning Knowledge to Dry Pick-up, disassemble equipment, Clean per Sanitation Program, Sanitize and Reassemble equipment for operation
* Functional ability to understand the operational flow of direct materials and process the product
* Understand scanning of finished goods Check Manifestor
* Lead by example and direct team members assigned in area of responsibility
* Work collaboratively with others to ensure proper work environment
* Actively engage the Tyson Production System
* Ability to work and lead safety activities
* Process product per the quality specifications
* Perform basic maintenance activities (reliability)

Training Requirements:

* Demonstrate the ability to routinely deliver
* DuPont Maintenance Training Course 1 & 2 (Selected programs)
* Power Train
* Conveyor
* Trouble Shooting
* Basic Repair
* Understanding of Electrical and PLC functions
* Lubrication
* Sanitation

* Role of the Machine Operator positions will be based on the needs of the business. The following list is not all-inclusive and limited in nature of job functions.

Internal Candidates: Team Member selected must have no more than 7 points to bid at time position is closed, and at 8 points will be required to return to general production. Team Member selected must have no written warning or written warning w/suspension in the previous 6 months to be considered.

3 to 4 weeks
