JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for the production welding of all components, which make up the parts in the manufacturing process of heavy hydraulic attachments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Class C

1. Operate a CNC burntable efficiently, properly and safely using oxyfuel and plasma.

2. Operate overhead crane safely and properly to load and unload burn table including identification of manufactured parts and disposal of scrap material.

3. Perform grinding and slag removal on all parts.

4. Safely and efficiently unload steel plate and tubing into the proper storage area or bin.

5. Conduct light maintenance in assigned area.

6. Keep work area safe and organized including end of shift clean up.

7. Must be able to read and interpret blueprints.

8. Read and follow production routes.

9. Unload and store plate and tube stock from delivery trucks.

10. Must be able to communicate fully with supervisors and coworkers.

11. Safe and proper use of preheating devices and manual torches.

12. Ability to run chamfer table.

13. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Class BIn addition to major job functions for Class C

1. Collection of kit parts to complete shop orders.

2. Must be able to work with minimal.

Class AIn addition to major job functions listed in C and B

1. Must be able to work with no supervision.

2. Ability to train and assign work to others in the department.

3. Assist in documenting standard work procedures and provide training on same.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Ability to operate chamfer table

Proper safe use of all hand tools.

Ability to understand and follow written and oral procedures

Ability to handle all materials safely using a jib hoist, overhead crane, electromagnets and fork lift.

Ability to read and follow blue prints.

Mechanical aptitude.

Basic understanding of products and parts.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Continuous standing, seldom walking, climbing, bending, crouching or reaching above head. Occasional pushing/pulling, carrying or lifting/lower 15-30 pounds, use of hoist for 30 pounds or greater.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

High School Graduate or equivalent
